The Harley Owners Group Golden Gate Chapter, Dudley Perkins Harley-Davidson and Lifehouse invite all motorcycle enthusiasts, motorists and community members to join us for a day of beautiful Marin roads, food and fun in support of Lifehouse. The day’s events will include a poker run, lunch, music, raffle, 50/50 drawing and run pins for the first 100 registrants. All bikes, riders and cars welcome! Proceeds benefit Lifehouse. Join Lifehouse as we celebrate the accomplishments of our clients, honor our dedicated staff and recognize the support of community members who have been instrumental in Lifehouse’s success over the past year. This memorable evening’s festivities will include dinner, awards ceremony, raffle and dancing with DJ Terri de Langis. The evening’s Master of Ceremonies is Mary Jane Burke, Marin County Superintendent of Schools. This year’s Major Sponsor is Private Ocean.

Lifehouse Annual Summer Picnic
On July 18, 2010, clients, staff, family and friends gathered on a gorgeous, sunny day at Corte Madera Town Park for Lifehouse’s Annual Picnic. This year’s picnic was luau themed with guests sporting leis, Hawaiian shirts and relaxed island attitudes. Picnic goers enjoyed an extra special treat this year with award-winning competitive barbeque master Chef Jim Modesitt and his team from Big Jim’s BBQ serving up smiles and scrumptious food, including pulled pork sandwiches and barbecue chicken. Energetic magician Heather Rogers returned once again this year to entertain guests with her amazing, up close magic. Guests also enjoyed volleyball, a water balloon toss and fun pictures with a surfboard. Thank you to our raffle donors: Applebee’s, Cinemark Rowland Movie Theater, Fifi’s Diner, High Tech Burrito, Round Table Pizza, Scandia Family Fun Center, Silbermann’s Ice Cream, Sonoma County Fair and Wipeout Bar & Grill. Special thanks to our volunteers and donors, Paula Rieck, Jim Corbet’s Ace Hardware, CostCo, Scotty’s Market, Trader Joe’s and United Market whose generous support helped to make the day fun for all. San Francisco Marathon 2010
Big congratulations to Nancy Riess, Lifehouse Development Director, and Donna Vazifdar, Lifehouse Board member, for successfully completing the San Francisco Marathon this past weekend!! Nancy completed the 26 mile run in 5 hours 55 minutes and Donna completed it in 4 hours 35 minutes. Team Lifehouse’s marathon efforts raised over $17,500 to benefit Lifehouse. Please join us in congratulating each of these ladies for their outstanding accomplishment!
