2026 marks the 30th anniversary of the Lifehouse Awards Banquet, a cherished community tradition that brings together more than 350 guests for an inspiring evening of celebration and connection. Together, we honor the remarkable achievements of the people we support, recognize the dedicated staff, and community partners whose compassion and commitment make our mission possible.

72 Years of Service

Lifehouse is 72 years old! It is important to recognize and celebrate the unwavering commitment and dedication that has made a lasting impact in our community. Lifehouse was founded in 1954 by a group of families seeking better services and a higher quality of life for their children with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). From that humble beginning, Lifehouse has evolved into the largest nonprofit providing supported living services in the Bay Area for people with I/DD.
