our mission
To improve the quality of life for people with developmental disabilities in our community by providing a lifetime of compassionate support in an atmosphere of respect, inspiration, and purpose
Your Support Transforms Lives
At Lifehouse, we are deeply grateful for the generosity of supporters like you. If you’ve attended any of our events, you’ve witnessed the compassion, skill, and dedication of our Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), and the life-changing impact your support makes possible.
Thanks to our community, Lifehouse has been voted Best Disability Service in Marin County for five consecutive years. This recognition reflects not only the excellence of our team but the strength of the philanthropic community standing beside us. Your contributions allow us to offer higher wages, advanced training, and the exceptional level of care that truly sets Lifehouse apart.
As State and Medicaid funding continue to shift, nonprofits like ours face real financial challenges. Yet these challenges also drive us to innovate, ensuring that the individuals and families who rely on Lifehouse continue to receive the vital, high-quality services they deserve.
Your generosity has already made a meaningful difference. We hope you will consider renewing your support today to help us continue providing the compassionate, purpose-driven care that defines Lifehouse.
Want to see the impact of your generosity firsthand? Read a special message from Lifehouse parent Diana McDonough on our blog and discover how your support is transforming lives.

Serving over 360 people in San Francisco, Marin, and Sonoma Counties, there are often job opportunities at Lifehouse. We operate nine group homes for people with developmental disabilities and provide support to numerous individuals who live and work independently in the community. Some of our homes offer around the clock care for people with profound developmental disabilities, while other homes serve as a transition to independent living and provide training in cooking, money management, transportation, time management, and other basic living skills.
